messaggio studios designs and creates communications tools for the public interest community including several web projects. The team is looking for a skilled web developer to work alongside the creative staff.
Required skills:
Thorough knowledge of the following programming languages: PHP, Javascript, Flash/Actionscript. (Additional skills such as SQL, Perl, Java are a welcome bonus.)
Experience with object oriented programming.
Experience with HTML & CSS
Familiarity with opensource protocols and applications namely: DNS/Bind, HTTP/Apache,PHP,MySQL, MAIL/Exim...
Knowledge of programming in Linux environments, Mac OS X and Windows (Mac OSX Server management a must.)
Knowledge of one or several CMSs desirable notably ez Publish.
Understanding of ergonomics, usability, navigation and user-oriented programming.
Details of the position:
You will contribute to the development of web platforms based on PHP CMS. You will work on development, integration and maintenance of server functionalities (PHP) or client functionalities (Javascript/Flash), page templating (PHP or others) and creation of admin tools for end users (PHP, AJAX).
We work exclusively on Apple computers.
The candidate should have a working knowledge of both English and French. The position requires living in the Annecy / Aix-Les-Bains region of France which is about 50 kilometers South of Geneva, Switzerland. EU citizenship is preferable as regards work permits.
