Giray moderates Greening Cities

Today, mondofragilis group president Giray, moderated the opening session of the World Urban Forum's Business Caucus. The topic was: Greening Cities : Bridging the Urban Divide. The Business Caucus is the main platform tailored to the private sector to present best practices and innovation for sustainable cities.
Dr. Anna Tibaijuka, Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UN-Habitat opened the session with an inspiring speech about the importance of the private sector in urban renewal.
It was clear from the outset of the discussion that partnerships were at the heart of the private sector's expectations. The private sector looks forward to an evidently improving climate for collaboration with the United Nations, the World Urban Campaign and many more public institutions.
Among the notable speakers was Dr. Ron Dembo, CEO of Zerofootprint, an innovative company engaged in multiple initiatives to reduce energy consumption significantly. One of those initiatives is the building reskinning initiative including the ZEROprize given by Zerofootprint the the most innovative building reskinning effort.
Giray and his assistant Jessica Mardell have been in Rio de Janeiro attending the fifth World Urban Forum in support of the World Urban Campaign. Many meetings have also taken place with several mondofragilis group companies' clients attending the event.
