The first episode of the film was shown during the opening dinner and was highly acclaimed by all present. Most ministers of health present, came up to mondofragilis group President, Cemil Giray Alyanak, to congratulate him and to ask for the right to broadcast the four episodes of this ground breaking film in their country.
During his opening speech, Giray thanked the ministers for this opportunity and repeated that the films were being distributed at no charge thanks to the support of mondofragilis network and its film partners IARC/WHO, PACT/IAEA, the American Cancer Society, UICC and Sanofi-Pasteur MSD.
Giray was additionally flattered by Professor Witold Zatonski who honoured the mondofragilis network motto "messages must cause change" by placing it on the inside front cover of this 'Bridging the Gap' publication.
