Vegan ice cream production started

After almost one year of research and development, our vegan ice cream is finally ready. Today marked the first day of official production. The first six flavors will be ready to ship by tonight and be in stores by this weekend, just in time for the holiday season rush.

Our lactose free, chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, cookies, coffee and chocolate mint vegan ice cream should be a hit. Or so the team hopes. We hope that our gamble - albeit a calculated one - to launch a prestige vegan brand will work.

Figures show that the market is ready for a non-animal product and we hope to be the ones to lead the market. We hope to help people eat healthier foods that are still just as fun.

The first batch of products are destined for the regional French market. They will be available in Provencia, Champion and Carrefour supermarkets and hypermarkets. In coming days, other chains will be contacted including specialised frozen foods outlets.

A big thank you to all those who have worked so hard, especially the team at the Glaces des Alpes facility who repeatedly modified the recipes until we were happy with them. They are now busy at work readying the next six flavors as we aim for a busy summer of 2007.
