A sports achievement

Maria Alyanak, our president's wife, ran her first half marathon today. Her goal was to simply finish but instead, it turns out, that she has some high octane fuel left in her.
The Annecy half marathon was run in cloudy but pleasant conditions today. She placed 50th in her category of 400. Granted, it may not be a major feat, but to run your very first competition at 45 is worth noting. Indeed, competitive sports are a great determinant of character. It demonstrates a willingness to sacrifice in order to reach one's goal.
The Annecy marathon and semi marathon brought together a record number of participants. A big thank you to some of our mondofragilis group staff who were on hand to cheer her on as she finished this first half marathon in 1h50'. Apparently, though initially reticient, Maria has announced that she will likely run another half marathon and possibly even a full one.
One last note, Maria wore mondofragilis colours on her cap. Apparently, for her next race she would like us to provide her with full regalia including T-shirt and shorts. Surely, our creative staff is already hard at work.
